Singapore Design Awards 2004

During the Singapore Design Award 2004, which was organised by Designers Association Singapore (DAS) and International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore), Cadi Scientific & Monogram were among the shortlisted finalists in Design for Business Effectiveness. The shortlisted product is CADI T560 Clinical Ear & Forehead thermometer.

The SDA was inaugurated by TDB (now known as IE Singapore) in 1988 as part of a national effort to promote the local design industry. SDA 2004 is organised y the Designers Association Singapore (DAS) and supported by IE Singapore and DesignSingapore Council.

Held biennially, the SDA was originally aimed at conferring official recognition to the work of local designers. Since 2000, the SDA has been open to international entries in order to benchmark Singapore designs against the best in the world.

Today, the SDA is a prestigious international award given to outstanding examples of innovation in graphic design, product design, packaging design and interactive media design from all over the world. A new category, "Design for Business Effectiveness", has been introduced to illustrate the effectiveness of design in businesses and its value-added contribution to profitability and market growth. The SDA is also an inspiring showcase and celebration of Singapore's best designs.
