Extract from
the speech by Mr Philip Yeo, Chairman SPRING Singapore:
"CADI
Scientific was founded by university researchers who saw
commercial value in their work. They secured funding from NUS
and from Professors like Bernard Tan, who gave them some pocket
change monies. SEEDS program funding also came in handy. CADI
develops wireless sensing and tracking devices to monitor
patient well-being and improve operational efficiency in
hospitals. Its flagship product, SmartSense, won the TEC (The
Enterprise Challenge) Innovator Award and the Hospital
Management Asian Award. Both Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and
Singapore General Hospital (SGH) have installed SmartSense. With
fresh investment from venture capital firms, CADI is now set to
bring this proven innovation to global markets."
